I just got a wool buddie in the mail and used it on four diapers. 2 of which were Stacinator Stretch. One of the Stacinator's I've previously washed with WOW and lanolized with lanolin the other was brand new. After washing them and soaking them for a while with this wool buddy my wool feels more sticky than usual (which I was happy about...they are truly lanolized!!!) but also a bit more scratchy. They don't feel soft like they did (even the one I've lanolized before was soft after that but not after this time with the wool buddie). Did I do something wrong? Will it get soft again. Should I wash it was my wow bar? I wanted to cry last night when I felt it and it felt funny...

Did you rub the wool with the bar? If so, this can cause the wool to change texture.

Maybe just soaking it in warm water and removing some of the stickiness will also remove some of the scratchiness.

Sorry, if I'm not much help!

Good luck and let us know how it goes!

I didn't rub the new wool cover with the bar. About 2 weeks ago I washed my other Stacinator with the bar and lanolized it. This was only the second time washing that one and the first time washing the new one. I only used the wool buddie this time (no soap, euclan, wow...or anything else).

I haven't gotten mine to be able to use them yet but Danica is super nice...email her and see if she can help you out (she is the WAHM who makes them)

OK---I might do that. I was just wandering if this has happened to anyone else? Also, do the wool buddies disolve completely because mine never did. I think I must have done something wrong...just not sure what. My aristocrat was in that wash, too, and it feels fine and so do a little pair of wool shorts.
