Hmm, I may be totally alone here, but I've never found anything weird in the diaper laundry. And if something does somehow make it into the pail I would find it before starting the load. Since I have a FL it's not really all that easy to just dump the dipes in, plus I don't unsnap anything until wash day. So, I stand there in front of the washer and pull things out of the pail one by one unsnapping it and throwing it in. I have found a few wool covers in the PAIL before, but I saved them from being washed. And I'm lucky enought to have a DH who is totally uninterested in doing laundry, especially poopy laundry.

DH's tooth brush. I was mad at him that day and though about putting it back in the bathroom for a minute, but finally decided not to be that mean and trashed it.

And yesterday I found a bone from hotwings we had the other night! Ok I have no cue how that go in there!

Holy crud that's some weird stuff!! :LOL
I am so boring; I pick the diapers outta the pail before I put them in the washer. BUT, I once found a few sposie wipes in there from when I dumped a few diapers straight into the washer from a small wetbag. Oh, and grape skins once, when the diaper was left too long for me to brave it with the minishower.

whole olives and crayon chunks *shudder*. i found a whole poo in the dryer once, too. i thought the basement kinda smelled like burnt poo but wasn't sure. i was emptying the dryer and a turd fell out. so gross! i have no idea how it lasted through a rinse, two washes, a rinse and a trip through the dryer.

i DO empty each poo diaper but i can't say the same for my husband hence the renegade poos.

Not necessarily wierd-but horrifying.

I found a pen after I did my dipe wash. It fell out of DH's shirt from the cycle before. He had emptied the washer. It immediately exploded when I tried to use it. Imagine how horrible it would have been if it exploded in the washer?

The fluffygods were looking down on me that day.

So far so good for me, DS doesn't mess with the pail much, and it's too tall for him still.

My cat on the other hand....

Lets just say that he had a thing for latex. ALL latex. Even the used birth control variety.
He would literally go bonkers trying to get at it, pawing at doors and trying to figure out a way to get to my bedroom closet shelf (6ft tall) to eat them.

I found a couple in his litterbox before it dawned on me he was eating them, and we didn't have any repeat litterbox visitors, but not from lack of trying...

He also liked balloons.

A friend of mine who is *quite* aware I use cloth, infact his wife tried to use a FB on her son and he got upset because it was "poo in the washer" *eyeroll*
Came over and put like 4 sposies in my diaperpail, and the trash was about 3ft away!
I'm glad I caught them.... :

Oooh! I've got a good one, and it happen this week!

My Dh bought me this beautiful (and way too expensive for what we could afford, we're doing payments on it) golden with 7 inset diamonds *thumb ring* for christmas (I told him I wanted a simple gold band thumb ring, but hey he loves me and wants to spoil me ...even if we have to make a payment every month for a year on a RING ). Well its a little loose.

I came home from being out all day grocery shopping with Orion and took my sweater off and then noticed my ring was missing. I turned the house UPSIDE DOWN to try to find this thing. By the time Dh got home I was on my hands and knees in the playroom crying my eyes out because I had lost this expensive ring that we STILL HAD TO PAY FOR. Dh and I then together looked everywhere I had already looked.

Guess what I found when I dumped out the wet bag? Yup. The ring. A very happy moment, but none-the-less totally the strangest thing I have ever found in my diaper laundry.

We always have disposie wipes and plumped up grapes/raisins : I've also had the joy of having about 6-8 disposables dumped in when Orion was playing with the new, clean, never used disposibles my SIL gave me (her sons grew out of them, and I did use them, since they were free, on the rare occasion I ran out of cloth and was being lazy about taking them to the laundrymat to wash) and throwing them in the diaper hamper. Well I THOUGHT I got them all. Goodness was that a horrible site! Most were busted open, gel crystals everywhere, and the ones that weren't, OMG, they were HUGE! I thought that was way grosser than the rehydrated raisins! : And is this gross or what, but when I saw what the raisins did I thought "hmmm I wonder if I could rehydrate raisins for a dessert dish or something" (of course the NEW *UNEATTEN* ones!!! Not the ones that had gone through Orion and the wash! :Puke). : : I mean they rehydrated dried out mushrooms in wine for food dishes all the time on the food network.... Same idea, right? Just a grooooosssss place to think of this! :

Wow...I was really unclear. I don't know why I worded it like that, but what I meant was in the WASHED diaper laundry. They get in there because it's all cuddly warm.

My cell phone. I wasn't using it while doing laundry, and it generally doesn't go near the pail, :LOL.

I set it outside, it dried up, and it is still working.

A close second would be my paycheck?!?!?

This is the funniest thread I've read in a long time!

My weirdest thing is boring - wool covers. Yes, plural. Twice now my mil has put a wool cover in with the dipes - once my custom embroidered Celtic Wolf and once a brand-new PWP woodland wrap. Luckily I noticed each time before running the laundry. So now I take stock of all our wool immediately after my mil has watched Ian to make sure we have no wool disasters.

I found test sticks for a fertility moitor. Apparently my DS's thought they were cool to play with and that they could stash them in the pail to hide the evidence. Also found an old cell phone (that the boys liked to pretend with) and a haf-eaten ear of corn (I can't even begin to imagine...)
