I got one one time and the item still smells like it. I did use it in my pail, b/c of stink issues. But I don't think the diaper man liked me usuing non-regulation deoderizor discs because he left me a bunh of them, usually its like pulling teeth to get a new one. :LOL

Well, I like them, but I'll be sure not to send them out anymore. I guess I'll just get rid of all my smellies-pail pals, soaps, tarts and all. Now what will I give out????? What DO you like to get?

Hmm, I guess I won't order more of those to give out...I don't mind them, but when I first received my wholesale order our whole house smelled like them for several weeks. The citrus scented ones are called Citrus Circles. They are a lighter scent, not so overpowering.

I got a pail pals too with a dipe order and it smelled like bubble gum. Yuck. The dipes actually smelled like it even after the first wash! Threw it out - and I hate wasting stuff big time. I liked the orange scented ones too - doesn't anyone carry those anymore?

I would not mind getting citrus scented disks at all. It's just the overly sweet smelling bubblegum scented ones I'd avoid. I love little extras in my orders. I've been very happily suprised to find soap samples, eucolan samples, an extra wipe or two, etc. in some orders. I've never, ever had a bad reaction to anything, except the most recent pail pal that I got. Even though I don't care for the scent, I still appreciate the WAHM slipping in a little treat. It is thoughtful. I direct my annoyance towards whoever created the scent.

i think they are gross.

i once got those "diaper buddies" though (i think that's what they were called, a ball of baking soda with some lavender oil in it?) and that was nice. it smelled real to me.

any strong smelling items though, even if something has been washed in scented detergent bugs me.

Wow, I never expected to have so many responses!

I want to clairify...I REALLY appreciate the WAHM's who have included the little "extras", It's just the smell of this one particular product...the bubblegummy pail-pal that makes me queasy. I honestly thought it was just me and probably due to my pregnancy. I hope nobody got their feelings hurt because of this thread.

I've always loved the tarts, soaps and other smellies...just not the pail pals.

I guess because they smell like cinnamin, the association is with gum?

As a WAHM, I've only sent these in the packages a couple times, I will start asking first now about the smelly freebies

I think at first they are overpowering, but I hated deo disks too. I use the pail pals in my garbage compactors deodorizer area. I'm surprised once it's exposed to the area for a bit, the smell is nearly gone, but the deodorizer effect is still there.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend

I haven't smelled the pail pals, but I don't like sweety-type scents either. I like both the peppermint and orange diaper buddies though. Right now we're still in the newborn poo stage but when she starts solids you can bet we'll have lots of diaper buddies!

I keep trying to figure that out, too. They smell like a cross between Hubba Bubba original and cinnamon. A smell I personally find absolutely foul, but that's just me. That's why there are so many different scents in the world, for all the different schnozzes (sp?)! :LOL

Jamie...you're killin' me! I just spit coffee all over the computer! :LOL

If you find to much time sniffing them, does that constitute a problem? Do you find yourself thinking of ways to get back to the computer to smell them more? Maybe a 12 step program is necessary.... :LOL

I had never smelled a pail pal until today! My whole mailbox reeked of this strange bubble gum odor. Sure enough I got a freebie pail pal. The smell made my head hurt! I promptly threw it in the garbage. I had my DH smell the diaper that it came with and he really liked the smell. Now that I think of it, I shouldn't have thrown it out. It would have been good to put in the bottom of the garbage can in the laundry room where it wouldn't have been so overpowering.

I personally don't have a need for pail pals because I use an MOE hanging pail and poo never goes in the bag. I always hose it all off to avoid stink problems.

But really, it's so cool that WAHM's include these little freebies. I love getting them!

I was actually thinking of you, Kira, when I wrote my earlier post, as I just received my last Little Fishy purchase in the mail yesterday ... with a Pail Pal in it! :LOL It's okay, though, I still ya! And the diaper itself actually smells pretty good ... and looks FABULOUS!!

Ah yes but they are very small. Chihuahua's and two of them are probably going to pet homes outside my home sometimes in the next year. So by this time next year I will only have three pets. :LOL
