My son is potty training and still using pull-ups but since we are going to be using cloth diapers for the new baby I think it only makes sense to put him in cloth also and maybe potty traing will go a bit faster. Any suggestions as to the best trainers out there or maybe a more cost effective solution??

Well I know you can get some good ones from www.bum-ware.com or you can make them yourself from the www.darlingdiapers.com pattern.

Here's Nathan in a pair I made: http://www.PictureTrail.com/gid7034161 This is the small size and he's around 20 months there. I find them absorbant enough to use as a diaper but they do take a little longer to dry - I think they're worth it though.

I've tried no other trainer besides Bummis (wow is that poofy) so I can't really help you compare to others.

We've been using the fitteds we already own, snapped loosely and without covers, for ease of taking them on and off for DS. Being so hot outside, he's been walking around with just the dipe on the bottom with a little t-shirt. It's been great because now all those cute diaper prints that were getting hidden by covers are now getting shown off.
