For those asking about cloth TP, here is a recent thread in Natural Home and Body Care.

I was already wanting to switch to mama cloth, and am still researching that (basically, which one to get?!?). Disposable pads give me a rash after about 5 days of use. Haven't had to deal with it for the last 13 months, but I'm sure that will change eventually.
Me too! After my post partum bleeding that lasted 6 weeks, I had diaper rash. : I am wanting to use mama cloth too. I'm very hesitant though. Is there a forum here for discussing types to get?

That's all I do (CM checking only) and the flannel works just fine. Flannel smooths out a bit - isn't as fuzzy - after a few weeks of use, anyway.

I'd try natural home and body care: http://www.mothering.com/discussions...splay.php?f=11

Dude, your DH *still* won't use them?!? All it took for J was the prospect of having to go buy his own TP, and he was switched over. He liked his TP, but not enough to go buy it himself when he ran out!
I know, it's pathetic. I refuse to buy any paper products when shopping (paper towels, napkins, TP, pads..).....so he will drive 45 minutes to BJ's (wholesale store) and buy this crap in bulk! Unfortunately, I'm married to the most productive person I've ever met. : I think he's embarassed to use them- like I'll see his poop or something in the bucket. He does use the cloth napkins and towels though, so that's good. :LOL

About NFP- I thought it was easier to do mucus testing on the cloth, especially the cotton knit wipes.

I got diaper rash using sposie pads too! I was so embarrassed! I sewed my own from the pattern at www.diapersewing.com. It's free! Just used cheap wal-mart flannel and topped some with fleece cut from the kid's outgrown jammies! They are so pretty and girly! :LOL

We still use lots of disposible items.. TP, paper towels sometimes, we save all grocery sacks and reuse them for other things... But we recycle what we can.

But we reuse things and use cloth where we can like for cleaning up messes and such.
