Kissaluvs contours did not work for us. They are not absorbant enough for even one pee from either of my DSs and they did not stay on very well with either pins or a Snappi.
I use Fuzzi Bunz, Muttaqin fitteds and prefolds.
The Kissaluvs contours will only hold about a teaspoon of poo. We used to get our daughter to poop by putting her in one. It was almost a guarantee, that's how poorly they hold poo.
Kissaluvs fitteds, however, are great. They're not super absorbant, but we've never had a poop leak.
It seems as if the contours are getting a mixed review. I'd like to try them b/c I like the ease and how trim they look, I'm not sure how absorbant they would be. Maybe I'll try one to see what I think.
I have about 7 contours and I find them just about as absorbent as my prefolds and they hold poop just fine. But my dd doesn't usually have blow-outs and because we go coverless the majority of the time, she gets changed pretty immediately.
We hated the contours and LOVE the fitteds. My main complaint about the contours is how poorly they stayed on (again -- didn't stay closed with a snappie -- had to be in a really tight cover) and how poorly they held poop.
We have several of the contours and like a pp stated, they are as absorbent as my prefolds and hold the poo fine. We also go coverless most of the time.
As for the snappi issue, I don't have a problem with that. Mine stay on fine.
