I know I have seen a post or two about this subject but they are probably buried under mountains of other posts.

So, again to any mama out there, how do you prep new hemp doublers/inserts?

I boiled them in hot water for about 15 minutes and have them drying right now. Do I boil them again? Wash them by hand?

Thanks!

I just bought hemp prefolds from Baby Cotton Bottoms and was referred to wash once, then boil once for about 5 minutes in already rolling water. That, she said, should loosen them and remove some of the waxy substance.

Hope that helps!!

I just washed mine four or five times with my regular laundry (separate from dipes). I never boiled them. IMO they work wonderfully and I haven't had any issues, so I must be doing something right.
