hi all,

although i loved the quality and style of the daytimefirefly, it didn't work for my son b/c

1. not absorbent enough
2. humongous leg holes (even on tight setting)

soooooo,

1.is the buzfuz more absorbent?
2. does the double row of snaps make for a snugger leg hole?
3. is an aplix nighttime firefly more snug in the legs than the daytime firefly?

I had a Medium buzfuz and the leg holes were just too big for my toddler. When he sat down they got even bigger. The nighttime fireflies with snaps have humongous leg holes that were not a problem at first for us because they were soft and molded to his legs. Now the hemp is stiff from multiple washings and the leg hole fabric kind of "stands up" away from his legs and I fear a pee out- though this has not happened and they continue to work. I am still nervous about it. I just love diapers, though- and hope the leg holes don't become a problem.

I am also curious if the aplix would make smaller leg holes.

Being right is not always fair, but being fair is always right

My Firefly to compare is organic cotton, but the buzfuz I have has just as big leg holes. It is much more absorbant though.

I have an online friend whose daughter swam in the L hemp Quick Dry but fits perfectly in the L hemp Sleep Tight w/applix. My impression from her was that the applix fasteners were more adjustable and she could therefore get a better fit.

The buzfuz is more absorbant. The leg holes are bigger, though, than those on the Firefly. The aplix Firefly was much more adjustable than the snap one, but I prefer the snaps because on my chubby babe the aplix was near the edges and didn't seem to hold well enough. I don't know a better way to explain it.
