I have regular prefolds that are getting too small around for my favorite fold. I have toddler prefolds that fit well around the waist, but are just a wee bit too much diaper, although they make excelent pads for the changing table.

Is there somethng in between? I don't mind length, this is all about width for me. Oh, bear in mind our budget constraints. I can't buy $5 prefolds :LOL

I believe that standard and premium prefolds are smaller than the toddler sized. Standards are 4x6x4 and premiums are 4x8x4

HTH

Premiums are the same width as regular(white stitching) prefolds. They are 1-2" longer though. So that should work quite well for you.

I am not making myself clear

I am a snappi-er and pinner (not at the same time :LOL)

My prefolds are 13x16. They are fine in the length, not wide enough.

The toddlers are perfect in the width, but just a whole lot more diaper than we need (read, I can't get a nice, tight package with them, like I can my old ones.

Is there a prefold out there that will meet my needs?

Feel free to say "just practice!"

Standard Regular 6-ply cpfs measure 14.5 x 21" prewashed
Premium 8-ply cpfs measure 14.5 x 22" prewashed.

What is the width of your Toddlers?
If you are just needing less length, go wit Premium 8ply cpfs.

My toddlers are 16 inches wide. I am looking for bigger than 13 (prewashed), but not quite so much diaper as is in the toddler. Length is not an issue. Truly, I am not sure they make such a thing as I am needing.

I guess I need to learn to like the bikini twist :LOL.

My baby is short in the rise, so the whatever I have that is 13 inches wide can still fold down in front, and I like that!

Cass, I'm not sure of a diaper that is 16" in length or less that is more than 13" in width.

Do you think you might contact a WAHM to sew some for you?

Cass- try bikini twisting the regulars and you'll get more around the waist to work with. HTH

angel wing or newspaper. What I dont like is the way it "blossoms". The smaller ones stay tight at the back of the leg, but the toddlers fall down until they almost look like bloomers

I am using the bikini twist on my little ones, it's just not my favorite fold.

No, DreamingMama and I discussed it last night, and decided the babies look better than the 6 icons that most describe my children.

Two things made my premiums last longer (width wise that is). One was learning the bikini twist (which is also not my favorite fold). The second was doing a modified angel wing. When I brought up the front of the diaper, instead of folding it down all neat and tidy, I spread out the front a bit, so that it kinda winged out in the front too. That way the back didn't have to stretch so far to be able to snappi it. By the time that trick stopped working, my DD had grown into toddler prefolds.

New WOHM to DD8 and DD3
