I just do my regular wash (rinse, hot wash, rinse) on bad poo diapers, but I put them out in the sun. The sun gets out all the stains, and it does a good job of killing the bad germs and stuff.

you can wash dirty and wet diapers in the same load without problems if the baby is breastfed, and yes you can do it without rinsing first and washing in cold water (unless your baby is sick then I would say wash in hot or use bleach). sunning will take care of the stains and if they are too crunchy after sunning throw one wet washcloth in with the load of line dried diapers in the dryer for 15 min and they will be fluffed and soft
