I know I should know the answer to this question by now, but do I need to dry the UBCPF between washes? And I do 5-10 washes??

Yep, you need to dry in between. I find that I usually need to do about 3 washes before they are absorbent enough to work, then as I wash after wear, they thicken up and get even more absorbent. 10 washes seems super excessive. 5 at the max would be fine.

Yeah, I'd say three times. They will fluff up and be more absorbant each time you wash them through, about ten cycles, but they are still totally useable through the 4-10 washes. :
