Does anyone make laundry detergent? We make soap (the old fashioned way, not melt and pour), but I imagine that would leave a buildup on our laundry. I've seen recipes using Fels-Naptha, but I have read that it is petroleum-based, and we avoid that.

We will be washing our diapers in a machine, but we don't have a dryer, so they will be line dried outside most of the year, and hung to dry inside during the winter.

Also, if you do make your own, how much do you use, and do you rinse with anything to remove buildup? I've seen a lot of recommendations to rinse laundry in vinegar when using any detergent, but it never says how much.

I use a similar recipe but the Fels breaks my baby out so I use Dial instead... Works great.. No buildup.

I use it on my CDs and clothes
