I finally decided on my beginner diapers -- prefolds, thirsties covers, and thirsties fab fitteds. I have read that I need to wash them first, right? Is there anything special I need to do? I have read about people ruining their diapers, and I would really love to just skip that step. Any advice would be appreciated.

You wanna wash your prefolds in hot water and dry them 2-5 times to get them to quilt up properly. They need the hot to shrink and remove any of the waxiness and the wet dry to quilt and make them absorbent.

This website has GREAT information http://www.greenmountaindiapers.com/washing-diapers.htm
