i just want to let you all know about Jessica Rios and batik bum diapers. She has well made affordable diapers that work great. She is very nice and everything is done in a very timely manner. I have a pair of longies (and another one coming) made out of wool fabric that has been customized and the price was great! Also she has canyon pocket diapers that fit my DD perfectly. They don't need a cover with them and they are only $10.00. Very affordable, especially after i've looked at a lot of other places and saw prices i'd never be able to afford.

Courtney

Courtney and Cree, baby made 3, added one more then there were 4, sakes alive, then we had 5, another in the mix now we have 6!

A Momma in love with her Little Women-Jewel Face, Jo Jo Bean, June Bug, and Sweet Coraline.

I have a wool cover and a pair of longies from Batik Bum, and I can't say enough good things about them! The cover is adorable, it's the vintage sea urchin fabric, and I've never seen anything like it. It's one of my favorites over trifolded prefolds. The longies are recycled wool (maybe cashmere, they're SUPER soft!) with vintage looking buttons, they are beautiful and also very unique.

Jessica is so sweet to work with. There was a mix up with the wool cover which was not her fault, she made me a new one, shipped it right away and reimbursed me for shipping. There was a small problem with the new cover and she took care of it quickly and included a VERY generous extra when she sent it back.

I highly recommend her, and I am looking forward to trying out more of her products, especially since they are so reasonably priced!

I bought three custom dyed OV diapers from Jessica. First I would like to say that Jessica is a very nice lady to work with. She had my customs done really fast and kept me oriented from the very beginning and till the diapers shipped.

The diapers arrived and the overall quality is not what I had hoped for.
They are beautifully dyed - and are dyed as I had spoken to her about in advance- no problems there.
The sewing is OK. It is not perfect but it looks decent and it is "solid" - no threads hanging out, no sewing coming undone or stuff like that. It works. The snaps are not placed evenly and look different from one leg to the other but they work as intended and seem to be well attatched to the fabric.
The fabric itself feels artificial and even though it is supposedly OV then it is just not as good a quality as I expect when buying OV - and I suspect that it is a poly-blend rather than pure cotton. I asked Jessica about this and she said she got the fabric from a coop and she cannot guarantee it to be pure cotton. I reckon she is not really responsible for what she recieves from them but I would personally have sent the fabric back. But I am picky - admitted.
I have kept the diapers - mainly because I like Jessica and felt she wasnt really responsible - also she had already done alot to keep me happy in regards to dyeing, shipping and some other stuff related to me buying from Europe.

I want to point out that these diapers where really cheap. They only cost 15$ each and I find that very cheap for a custom sewn and dyed organic diaper (if it is indeed organic?) So all in all I think that I cannot really expect perfection for 15$ and seen in that light I think I did a fair trade. I would just have liked to know about the fabric quality in advance cause I will gladly pay more for higher quality - but that is just me.

All in all I recommend Jessica - especially if you are looking for fairly priced WAHM diapers..

i've made countless purchases from jessica and have been thrilled with everything, especially her recycled wool shorts and longies and a particular velvet outer/bamboo inner fitted diaper with matching shirt. she's very inventive and stocks an amazing variety of recycled and new goodies, from fitteds to covers to pockets to woolies to mei tais.

her customer service is great, communication always friendly and helpful, and shipping is very quick as well.

I just got something in the mail today from mother culture for the Spring craft swap. They were 3 adorable newborn diaper wraps with many snaps for versatile adjustment. I use a cloth diaper service, so diaper wraps are exactly what I need. She did a great job of following my wants/needs which were gender neutral, non-wool so I could just throw it in the washer. Sewn with attention to detail. Very satisfied and recieved before the deadline.

I just bought an AIO diaper from her and it is wonderfull! very affordable but a super luxe diaper. velour inside-and her way of doing the soaker part makes it a quick drying diaper. The fabric is a chinese new years fabric that is so cute-I purchased this new from HC about a month ago.

Jessica makes the nicest items. I love her herb/blossom sachets made from organic, hand-dyed velour YUMMY! I bought one to give as a present and decided to keep it myself! Her new website has been revamped and looks great and has lots of items in stock. The hemp concert shirt covers and pants are darling!

I have been using wool covers from Jessica of various types since my dd was born last summer - soakers, shorties and now recycled longies. I have been very pleased with them and I love the creativity that Jessica brings to her work.

I've used some of her fitted diapers as well and find them to be comparable to more expensive types. They were absorbent enough for my heavy-wetting dd but nice and trim, and they have held up well with washing, they still look great even after much use.

I've purchased a bunch of stuff from Jessica over the past 2 years, and they're consistently my favorites. I was so sad when my son outgrew his first recycled wool longies from her, they're one of the cutest things I've ever seen. He has several larger pairs of recycled wool longies that he wears now, this is the second winter he's worn them (I asked her to make the legs long, rolled them up first year and now they're the right length unrolled), what a great value! The diapers I have that she made are absorbent, fit well, and have been durable, plus they're cute. I've been pleased with everything I've purchased from her, and the customer service is great, too.

There is no secret ingredient.
