I think it is about time we have a review of a European brand - cause we do have some excellent diapers overhere too

One of the biggest European CD brands is Tots Bots.
Their specialty is cotton terry fitteds and they are extremely popular here.
All Tots Bots diapers are cut from the same pattern but in different materials - and those make the whole difference. All diapers are available in size 1 (infants and small babies) and size 2 (bigger babies up to toddlers)
Some of their diapers also come in a size 3 for toddlers bigger than 35 lbs)
The pattern used for all diapers is a very simple one - elasticated edges in the legs and back. Slightly wider in the front and with square wings that fold to the front. All diapers have a soaker sewn in the inner front of the nappy. It folds for extra absorbancy in the middle for girls and front for boys.

Their 3 main products are these:
-A standard cotton terry diaper. Available in a thicker white or unbleached version or in slightly thinner dyed versions called Rainbow Bots
-A microfiber, fleecelined variation of the above - called Fluffles
-A bamboo terry diaper made of 90% ecofriendly bamboo terry. This is called Bamboozles.

I have tried the plain Tots Bots with Aplix and the Rainbow Bots Snappi version - and the Bamboozles snappi version.

The plain Tots Bots with aplix is a good standard clothdiaper. I am not too fond of the fit - it is rather low in the front and even though it is a size 2 I have problems getting a good fit on my daughter who is only 16 lbs and rather slim. It gets pretty crunchy in our hard water. The absorbancy of this diaper is prima! Once I get it in place it works very well giving minimum bulk even though it is a thick terry nappy. I was curious about trying the non-aplix version of this diaper because I practically liked everything about it aside from the aplix that in my opinion ruined the good fit. So I got a rainbow Bots with snappi closing.
This diaper is the best fit of all my diapers (together with the Bamboozle - but will get there later). It is very cute and comes in different colors. It suits my daughter perfectly and I like the all-cotton feel. The Snappi-closing works very well. This diaper contains poop like no other in my stash - apart from other Tots Bots - and possibly my MEOS. But the fit is so much better than any of my others. The cotton terry still tends to get crunchy after washing though - but not nearly as much as the white Tots with the thicker terry.
The Rainbow Bots are also very reasonably priced at around 12,50 $

I went on and got me a Bamboozle. And OH MY - it is a WONDERFUL diaper!
I honestly cannot recommend this enough. It is made of bamboo terry and it is the softest fabric/diaper I have ever felt. When I first touched it I couldnt believe it. It felt like the most expensive silk scarf and even after washing it is still extremely soft. Nothing like any cotton terry I have ever felt.

It is so thin and lightweight that when you hold it it almost feels like it isn't there When I first put it on my daughters bum I had that feeling - like this is too good to put on a bum and poop in.. but it fit her like a glove. Later at change time it was ofcourse poop-filled. But not a single drop had sneaked outside the diaper into the wrap. Even though it is incredibly thin it does an amazing job at absorbing pee.. The commercial info says this diaper absorbs 60% more than cotton - and faster too. I didnt believe it was true till I tried this diaper.. But it is. When wet it gets all fluffy and thick and feels more like normal terry - though still SO much softer.

This diaper is still new to me but the fit is perfect, the feel is incredible and absorbancy is ubelievable for a diaper that thin.

This is a day-diaper beware. It will not last a night but it is the slimmest, softest daytime fitted I have ever come across.

I have recently posted an enquiry in the MDC diapering-forum asking people what is the best natural fitted around.
After recieving this diaper I am pretty sure I found "the perfect fitted".
Cannot recommend enough!

UPDATE: After having used the Bamboozle for a couple of days on both my kids I can add a few things. First is that it really absorbs a whole lot of pee for its size. I have used it on my son who is 2,5 years and it even absorbs toddler-pee. However it is actually so soft that it had a problem staying in place for a big toddler-massive softy-poop. It simply rolled itself together between my sons legs allowing poop to escape on the side. I partly think this is a problem with sizing though. My son is getting too big for this I would guess..

It is very reasonably priced. At around 15$ each this is value for money. It would be well worth having it shipped to the US from Europe especially considering this is very lightweight for a fitted diaper. I will be happy to send you links with good retailers - just pm me to ask. This diaper can also be bought via Ebay UK and be shipped internationally at reasonable costs.
I was only in contact with the actual Tots Bots people once asking them for shippingcosts. I got a fast responce but it turned out their shipping was very expensive so I stick with using retailers that have more reasonably priced shipping.

Tots Bots have wraps too - but I have not tried them so cannot review. I only tried a fleece wrap of theirs - it is ok. Nice fit but I am not really into fleece - I dont like the fact that you need to wash the wrap after every use.. So I am not the right person to review the Tots wraps.. They do have some PUL ones too though..

I hope someone else will contribute with some Tots Bots reviews. Thanks..

UPDATE: I have owned these diapers for a good 3 - 4 months now and my excitement has definately cooled off some. The bamboo terry is not as soft anymore after all the washing and I am not happy with them being so unstable. They tend to not stay in place and I am not happy with absorbancy: Sure they absorb alot for the weight but they are simply too thin and there are not enough absorbant layers. I am also bored with the all white look and the nippa fastening. I still recommend the bamboozle as a good diaper but far from perfect like I thought in the beginning.

Oh yep. I'm right there with you.
We use TB as a birth to potty- we have the second size in nippa, and if you fold the flap above the tongue down and cross the tabs, it fits a 10lb baby neatly- especially the rainbow ones. The unbleached can be a bit bulky this way, but heck, its not like she's walking anywhere- and I suspect this would be amazing on heavy-wetting boys. I only have one fluffle- which is OK, and very slim- but I'm sitting here waiting for the postman to bring me some lovely bamboozles. I petted one at the Nappuccino on Tuesday, and it was a lovely trim nappy.
Wraps-wise, the one I have is made of fairly thin PUL, deep like the BSWW but no gussets, and with cross-over tabs. The wraps are cut large, though. (i have the strawberry one, and I love the comments it gets.
BTW, I'm selling off some of my tots to fund the transition to bamboozles, so if anyone's interested just let me know.
