DD is 15 months and we only have 2-3 misses in a 24 hour period. But, she will only go if I'm holding her on the potty, if I try to put her on the little potty chair she just gets off and wants to play with it. It would be great for her to be able to go by herself when she needs to (she doesn't signal so we just do timing/intuition). Any tips? I'd really LOVE to be able to wear skirts again lol

Read a book to her while she sits on the potty chair? Or reserve some fascinating new toy just for potty time? Maybe practice with dolls or let her play on it with clothes on for a few days?
Other than that, I would just say, go with what works. Holding her on the potty sounds better to me than holding her down (forcefully) trying to change the diaper on a wiggling LO.... She is still very young...

It was right around that time that my dd stopped requiring that I hold her. I was beginning to wonder!!!! She still (29 months) requires that I go with her, and she still uses her little potty, has basically no interest in the toilet unless we're out and about.

Oops, gotta go!

my 15 month old lover her rubber duckies, so she gets to hold them as long as she is sitting on her potty. if she gets up, they get taken away. You may have to try different things to see what works best for you.
