I've had no luck finding inexpensive second hand prefolds...So have decided to try and sew some! The online tutorials want you to decide if you want to make...
Newborn: 10" x 13"
Infant: 11" x 15"
Standard: 13" x 17"
...and then sew them up accordingly, but that's so they will fit into the right size diaper...I'm just imagining tucking them around him while he's in the sling and being held mostly...Could I just sew up one size to maybe last the whole first year-year and a half? My last baby ec-ed and was graduated at only a little more than a year I think...
Would bigger be better? Or some\where in the middle? I'm going to use old flannel recieving blankets and maybe towels. Any other easy diy prefolds for ec tips?
Bumping up for input. Anyone have any wisdom to share about sewing up some prefolds?
I've never sewn prefolds. I do use prefolds for my babe, though. I have really large newborns (all born between almost 9 lbs to 9.5lbs), so I've never used newborn prefolds, but I use the other two...the infant really only for the first few months and then standard until graduation (which for us has been 1.5 years)
There are a bunch of gmd listed in foot right now.
I've never sewn prefolds, but fitteds and poquito pants when we started ec with ds1. I followed the pattern she sent me. I saw a few prefold tutorials on a quick search.
