If any of you know of a Good, Homebirthing Midwife in Charleston,SC PLEASE tell me about them (her). There are a few Midwives here but all of them deliver in a hospital. Thanks!

You will find it slim pickings in Charleston, I lived there for 4 years and ended up having 2 unassisted births because of the choices there. However, these are the woman I know of...Cynthia Gerald is a LM that practises about 1/2 the year there and the other half in the caribian somewhere. Joni Sands (beeman) has stopped practising, I think and Nicole Lavallee is a recently certified LM and her website is 559-5559 I think, it has been 2 years. good luck! I think you can find them all in the phone book.... Nicoles business is The Mothers Resource Center. some one ussually has fliers up at Earth Fair going out to folly!
