I am trying every possibility available. If someone can guide me to someone who would do this, please contact me via pm or here.

I am going to be giving birth in May to my 2nd child. I am confident my body can do this w/o a hitch. My husband feels we need a midwife "just in case".

to come this way & have their babies in travel trailers, motels, friends, relatives homes, etc. Some folks who are good homebirth canidates (can't think of a differnet word to use) & are very determined to have a homebirth w/ an experienced midwife & will travel great lengths to have an out-of-hospital birth. I try & stay in a 2-2&1/2 hour radius from my homebase, but will occasionally travel further if no one due in my general home area. So, I've had folks to also travel to within 2 hours of me to have their babes in various locations. I'm in North Carolina. karen of BirthTender

Thank you very much for the offer. There are a few options in Fla for me IF I cannot find someone to come to my home.

A friend has offered to let me birth in her home with her midwife. I may have to take her up on that. I really want to do this at home, our family business will not allow my husband to be away from home (we have an herb farm and this is the busy season for us). I really dont care to have to travel back home with a newborn and a toddler sans dh.

But I am dedicated to having a baby outside of the hospital no matter what the logistics. I will definitely keep you in mind as I search for the way this baby will be born.

Blessings,
Shannon
