I heard that this book was like the beginning of the med-free childbirth movement, so I requested that my local library purchase it. Instead they borrowed it from another library somewhere in the southwest. (This was like 6 months ago.) Anyway I was there last night and I found that they had BOUGHT it! Hooray! The women of our town will be able to read about having a pain-free birth!

I read it. And then I clearly remember cursing him when, during the middle of a particularly painful contraction, I was not afraid, I was relaxed, and it still hurt like hell, lol.

My mom suggested that book to me with my first pg...I got it, and just glanced over it...seemed too 'boring' for me...should've read it--would've helped....
NOW, as a hypnobirther, I am a FIRM believer in his theories etc...just wish I had benefitted from his book the first time around!
