I want to get something special for my midwife, for after the delivery. Any suggestions on a rocking gift that isnt' outrageously expensive??

I have received alot of wonderful gifts, from gift cert to restaurants, to day spas, nice floral arrangements that appear at my home, etc.

A really nice one that I treasure is a framed picture of me with the family.

The nicest gift I have ever received as a birth support person(I know you were asking midwives but this gift was sooooo nice, and she gave the midwife one too!)
was a beautiful framed picture of the birth, and her birth story, also in the frame,
I ask all my moms to write a story, a paragraph or a book, whatever, -I always mention it prenatally several times, and a copy of a summary, framed, or a thankyou, framed with a pic would be the nicest I can think of...
happy birthing,

I would think something handmade would be so appreciated. Especially if it has a birthing theme.

There is some lovely jewelry out there - crowning baby earrings were my favorite.
