Hola, everyone. I'm Sarah, and I used to post on Mothering quite some time ago, so I'm a sorta-new person. *laugh*
I wanted to spread the word about the consumer advocacy organization I'm a part of. Midwifery in Texas is being threatened through legislation, and we are working on making certain midwifery remains an option for all women in Texas. We're a new organization, and our website is a work in progress *laugh*, but we're making huge steps forward.
The url is http://texansformidwifery.org/ and I'd appreciate any visitors.
You can join the organization for free, as a non-voting member, or for a fee (from $10-$500) and be able to vote in state-wide elections.
We need all the support we can get, financial and otherwise, in order to support the right women have to choose where and with whom they want to give birth.
Hi! Im the chapter leader of ICAN of North Texas and wanted to let you know that I would be happy to spread the word about TFM at our next meeting. Do you have anything that I could hand out to the women that come or should I just let them know about the website?
Hey hey!! I don't have anything right now, but I can absolutely get something together for you. When is your meeting? Could you email me at [email protected]? I'll put you in touch with the president. She'll be excited to talk to you.
