I am assisting at a friends 2nd birth and she had gestational diabetes during her first pregnancy. This pregnancy she had some high glucose readings and started taking flax oil to control her cravings for sugar and carbs. It is working but she is taking 2 oz 2-3 times a day. Now she is worried that she will have bleeding problems as flax oil can reduce blood clotting. But if she stops taking it she has blood sugar problems. Can anyone give me any information if large amounts of flax oil is dangerous in any way and what else she could be doing. Thanks! Marie
