do i remove the blue part to use it, and press on the white part?

are there any tips on how to use it? should i try on myself first (or on DH? and in which body part?). i have 3 of them, but will likely need only 2.

if one prick is not enough, can i use the same lancet for the second prick, or they are not reusable?

anything else i should know? how hart to press? how fast to press? does it matter?

would a nurse "naturally" do it better, i.e. less pain for the baby, even he/ she never used this particular lancet?

thanks!

i just spoke to the lady from birthwithlove.com (this is where i ordered them) and she said that the recall was about a year ago, and if i bought them a couple of months ago, they are fine. she said that the ones recalled were fine as well, but one hospital complained.

anyone has more info?

they are still on the site.

I just used one on Sunday, I ordered them about 2 months ago. It made quite an incision, but I had no trouble collecting enough blood (like I have with others that give smaller pokes) and with a little arnica, there was no bruising. I liked it.

Yes, remove the little tab first and then you will see the hole that the blade comes out of.

does it matter how hard you press? how did the baby react? arnica cream right away?

thanks!
