Yes, it's cracked all they way through.

I can't bear to just toss it, so thinking there might be someone out there with the tools and know how to fix/ glue it.

It's not in two separate pieces-- it's only split on the bottom cross piece, close to the area where the strings attach. Still has strings and the tuning key, and probably the music if I dig. It cracked when we first bought/ made it 15 or so years ago and at that point we glued it and it sounded fine. I guess in the intervening years the glue dried and it separated again.

I believe this was a "Harps of Lorien" finish- it- yourself kit, but it's been so long I can't remember. The picture at their website is a different shape than mine, but I still believe I bought it from them.

PM me if interested?

Does it still play well? Also, do you know how much shipping would be?

Allison:  a little bit Waldorf, a little bit Medievalish, and always"MOMMMMYYYY!" to sweet Cecily since 12.22.05

It doesn't play because it's completely split to the right of the bridge-- I loosened all the strings to take tension off the wood. This will really need someone with skill and tools and know how-- it's not a "glue and go" type job.

Here's a link:

(I was wrong about the maker. )

Mine is older, and was made from a kit they used to sell, so the shape is a tiny bit different, but essentially it's the same.
