I'm a vegan beginning knitter who just found out about this organization:http://www.afghansforafghans.org/
It is a group that collects US-knit wool garments and blankets and distributes them to refugee families in Afghanistan - especially important during this cold winter season.
Making some hats and a small afghan would be a perfect way for me to practice different stitches and support a good cause.
But since I'm vegan, I don't want to buy new wool yarn and they don't accept other fibers because of the temperature there.
So I'm looking for wool yarn scraps (partial skeins or balls, small amounts that could make up a few stripes in a hat) or wool yarn in full skeins/balls that has been sitting around in your stash or storage for a while and you don't forsee using any time in the future. No fancy-schmancy LTK hand-dyed, etc.
By donating them to me, you'll be making more room for yourself and helping to warm some cold children in Afghanistan.
I have funded paypal and will pay for shipping.
