There are so many different threads on here that mention books and movies that feature or deal with children of a single parent.  In hopes of creating one comprehensive list, please list any additions you can think of and I will add them to this post.  If you have read and feel passionate (both positive or negative) about any of the books/movies even those already mentioned please chime in with your thoughts!

yay!  thank you for doing this.  i will add some if i think of any more . . .

i loved "the parent trap" as a kid (and still kind of do - both versions).  i had no fantasies of my parents reuniting and i just thought it was a funny movie.  however, i think it's probably really bad for kids who are struggling to accept their parents' divorce.

Thank you for starting this thread.  I'm going to have to write down some of the titles to see if I can find them at the bookstore. love.gif

Not in the fiction catagory, but this book is great.  Just quick and simple activities than don't even have to be sequential.

The Divorce Workbook for Children: Help for Kids to Overcome Difficult Family Changes and Grow up Happy [Paperback]

Lisa Schab LCSW (Author)

Thanks for the great list!
