I have an appt tomorrow morning with the county to see if I qualify for child care subsidy. (Im in Ontario)
On the phone when they took my personal info they asked if I get child support - I told them at the moment no as we are still going through lawyers ... If I do, is this going to affect whether I qualify or not?
Currently the papers are not signed, nothing is legal. I know child support is not income so I'd rather they not know about the support as I'm not sure it's going to be consistant and he is now out of province!!
Anyone have any experience with this process??
Here in the States, I would just say that there is no child support order in effect yet. And cash his checks at his bank. And here, child support is income. It would only affect you qualifying if it put you over the income limits.
