Does anyone else have facebook friends who post things about how horrible it is for kids to come from a "broken home"? I hate it! My kids are happier now than they ever were, they are stable (dad sees them at our house or his moms house with me there about once a month) and they are thriving. Our home is not broken, it's just different.

and loving every minute of it.

Any time scientists disagree, it's because we have insufficient data. Then we can agree on what kind of data to get; we get the data; and the data solves the problem. Either I'm right, or you're right, or we're both wrong. And we move on. That kind of conflict resolution does not exist in politics or religion.

Yes, I know people who do that. And I always use this comment:

My home is NOT broken. It WAS broken, when I was still with my ex, and because I agree with you that children should not grow up in broken homes, I left my ex. Now my children live in a happy, healthy, WHOLE and UNBROKEN home, and their lives are much better.

I get a few who want to argue, but most seem to realize that even if they disagree with me, continuing with a personal insult toward my home and my family (which is what they'd be doing if they continued) is the surest way to lose a friend and make yourself look like an ass, so they let it drop.

as opposed to when my ex lived at my home and was a complete toad to myself and my family? LOL so that was a complete home? i am often surprised what people will endure to keep up appearances.

i'll take my chances with the so-called broken home i have. it's all in how it is phrased. don't let them upset you.
