From how I understand it, fraternal twins are only hereditary from the potential mother's genetics; it involves the woman releasing two eggs... all the donor is doing is providing sperm - millions - so of course there is always the possibility of there being enough sperm to fertilize more than one egg if more than one is released.

Bottom line, I guess, is that finding a donor who is a fraternal twin won't increase the chances of conceiving a fraternal twin.

... at least, according to what I've read/know about it. And I don't claim to be a geneticist.

Asked and answered - someone asked the same thing a while back.

I'm totally with Lyndzies on this one - and I'm not a geneticist either, but my mother is a fraternal twin, and if both my zygotes stick, they'll be fraternal twins, so that's my claim to knowledge!
