Hi Everyone,

Isa: hug.gif I'm sorry. What a disappointment. I hope that your trip is wonderful and distracting. hug2.gif

Graceie: I agree that it can be very hard to know if what you're feeling is a real symptom of pregnancy or not. I hope yours are the real deal! fingersx.gif

2ez: I'm so glad that the ultrasound looked good! I hope that the injectables treat you well!

MrsPP: It's too bad that procrastination is such a two-sided friend. She can be so sweet and pleasant, and then at the last minute she likes to bite. I hope your paper goes well!

Indigo: It's neat that you love your RE so much, and it sounds like you have a great plan. It's exciting that you might be trying so soon!

Seraf: How are you doing? Are you 10dpo or 11dpo now? That's testing time in my book! fingersx.gif

AmandaMom: How is the wait going for you? How are things with your wife? Your chart looks great! fingersx.gif

AFM: I had an ultrasound this morning (the first of this pregnancy), and everything looks good so far. I'll go back in two weeks for another one. My RE seems to feel like everything is going fine, so that's nice! fingersx.gif

Happy Saturday girls,

Isa, I was just going to tell you that my SIL got negatives for 2 weeks before her BFP, but then I saw that you're on CD1.  I'll move you to taking a break.

2ez, all you have to do is copy and paste the first post.  I'm not in BB code editor or anything.  I'll try to pretty it up a bit before you or anyone take over.

Escher, Yay for a good ultrasound!!!!!!!!  Not temping has been lovely, I have had no desire to test yet.  The plan is no testing unless Sara gets her period before I do.  Since she's 4 or 5 days behind me (why do they say women sync up?  I've lived with so many women and never synced up).  I'm still so thrilled that you're pregnant.

Over here not much going on.  My boobs are swollen to the point that their bottoms don't touch my chest (so, perkier than usual).  I think they do that every month, tho.  Well, they seem to do it on months I try, just to confuse me, I suppose.  The kids have decided I'm pregnant this month.  We got a pool pass at one of the local hotels and I was avoiding the hot tub.  They asked why, I said I might be pregnant.  They were like, "Really?  You might be pregnant?!?"  I reminded them that we had recently enjoyed frozen marshmallows and they were beside themselves.  Ari has been talking to my belly.  I asked if she wanted a boy or girl, if we are lucky.  She said she thought it would be better to have a boy because Osha is the only boy and there are so many girls in our family already.

I had a dream last night that I was visiting a lesbian couple with a brand new baby.  I carried her around and sang her sweet songs until she fell asleep and another baby showed up(I am not clear whose baby she was - couldn't have been mine, she was in a disposable diaper).  She was 3 or 4 months so the songs were sillier and more tickle-y.  Her diaper felt like hot jello, so I took her in the bathroom to change her.  She'd had a poop blow out and my arm was hit.  I pulled the diaper off her and poo went everywhere.  I was wiping her with TP and afraid it would clog the toilet, so I called Osha to flush.  He came in, hit the flusher and the toilet didn't flush, but a shower head above and in front of the toilet started spraying all over us.  It was a mess!  I was holding a filthy soiled kid and we were flooding the bathroom with clean water, but it was carrying poo all over from the floor where the diaper lay.

Strangely, I had several baby poop dreams when I was pregnant with Ari.

In other news, Sara has decided that if her parents are going to kill her in June, why not let them kill her in March?  We just prepped the kids not to talk about it in front of her parents.  (like, a few months ago when Ari said, in front of Sara's mom, "These mittens are too small for me, we can give them to the baby next winter.")

Hey all,

So i just finished my 5th dy of 50 mg clomid and I have felt... nothing. Did other people feel weird or anything? Is it likely to mess up my O date?

Go_Vegan: I felt nothing on Clomid the two times I was on it. Yes, it can change up your ovulation to a little earlier. Do you ovulate regularly or are you using Clomid to help you ovulate? I ovulated regularly and one time it made me ovulate a couple of days earlier than I would have expected.

Hawaii better be good, dammit.

Sorry about the BFN hug2.gif There are a few great things about a winter baby! 1. You aren't SUPER pregnant when it's really, really hot outside. 2. You get lots of cuddles keeping baby warm (although I'm sure cuddles would happen anyway) 3. You'd have a BABY!!! orngbiggrin.gif

Hmm do you normally spot mid cycle?

Afm, cd 29. I think if I did O it was likely on cd 25. So, if my LP is going to be a "good" length then I don't expect af for a little while. I went to "BirthFest" today and ran into the midwife that caught DD and also saw one of the doulas that attended our birth....who is FINALLY going to mail us some video she took of DD's birth! She already sent us a bunch of photos right away but I've been dying to see the video!

MrsP~ Good luck with the paper!! I hope it's at least on a fun topic.

Carmen~ April seems really soon for sure!  Then you'll have a new year's baby!

2ez~ A washer IS exciting!! And not having one  is really tiring, I have to say.  Nashville's such a great city.  Hatch Show Print is one of the most amazing shops in the world.

Isa~ I'm so sorry. I'm sending you biggest hugs and best thoughts now. I agree, though, that if you've not seen blood, all hope is not lost.  xoxoxox  I hope Hawaii is as gorgeous as they say

Seraf~ I think it's a prophetic dream for sure.  Especially the poop part ;)    Hooray for perky boobs!

Carmen~ I hope your lp is long enough, even though that'll make an incredibly long cycle.  The Birth Fest sounds really fun!!

AFM~ Not much.  The handyman came and patched up a few spots in the ceiling. I'm really looking forward to getting the painting started. The librarian shower yesterday was very nice, though I didn't get a single book! DP thought that was hilarious.  We did get the bassinette we wanted, though, so that's wonderful.

Still so tired.  Looking forward to more sleeping in tomorrow.

Luck and love to all xoxo

Oh, there has been blood, all right. Sorry for getting kind of gross---in fact. WARNING: THIS NEXT PART IS SUPER GROSS!

But I didn't think anything about using a diva cup on an airplane. Until I got off and went to use the bathroom and realized (explosively) that liquids under pressure applies to ALL liquids under pressure. It was like a horror film. But luckily just on my hand and in the toilet and not the other possibilities (on my clothes, all over everywhere). Still really nasty, though and from here on out any travel will be using disposable feminine products and I'm sorry I told you all and will resume my normal not disgusting nature now. It's strange because in real life I am very dainty and can't talk about body functions without blushing, but apparently the internet lets me be bawdy.

My boobs also have all kinds of dark blue veins in them now, which is strange. I do wonder what the hell was up.

Gracie--spotting sounds really promising! And Seraf--so do baby dreams! I agree that March and June are similar so why not start trying now and explain in June? She'd be about 12 weeks by then, right?

My moms met us at the airport with beautiful leis and I should go to bed so we can get up at dawn and start the fruity drink parade! Goodnight all!

She's here!
And so are the boys!

Isa~ NIGHTMARE!!!  I'm glad it worked out okay, but what a terrible experience on top of a disappointment.  At least you can (and should) have all the umbrella drinks you want.

Sorry to be the bearer of sad news, but 5GrandBaby asked me to post here to tell about their recent loss.  She went to the ER with abdominal pain and it was discovered that her ovaries had twisted around each other and the left one had necrotized and was filling her body with pus. They did emergency surgery to remove it and save her life, but sadly they lost the baby at 12 weeks, almost immediately after the surgery. She says she's doing well as can be expected, and is even more grateful to her wonderful partner. A very very sad story, but there it is.

2ez - Hooray for AF showing up on her own! So glad you got the green light for injectibles.

qmama - Cramping sounds like a good sign! dust.gif

KS - I agree that Grey's Anatomy story line is annoying. Same goes for The Kids are All Right. It seems like any lesbians portrayed on TV or in movies either sleep with men or are mentally unstable. Definitely not a good representation of lesbians everywhere, and it feeds into the misconceptions about lesbians. I would have slapped that coworker who thought you must have had an affair.

Indigo - How exciting you might be starting TTC so soon! joy.gif

Library - I think a scrabble rack with AMANDAE is a good sign! I love scrabble. I play Words With Friends on my iPhone all the time. Love your new bump pic!

MrsPP - Good luck writing that 20-page paper! shamrocksmile.gif

Isa - hug.gif So sorry this cycle was a bust. I was really hoping for you. Maybe the time off is just what you need at this point. Try to enjoy yourself in Hawaii. hug.gif I thought blue veins in your chest were supposed to be an early pregnancy sign. Maybe you should test again in a few days just to be sure.

Escher - I'm so glad you got good news at your u/s. I can't wait for you to hear that little heartbeat! Maybe you could post a pic of what you saw yesterday?

Seraf - I had to laugh at your poop dream and the baby not being yours because she was wearing a disposable diaper. lol.gif

Graceie - I saw you said you are all alone in this. Are you TTC as a single mom by choice? Either way, you're not alone; you have us! Fingers crossed for you! fingersx.gif

Vegan - Be thankful you had no symptoms from the clomid! And yes, it may make you ovulate sooner. It did for me, but I was on double the dose you took.

Carmen - How exciting you finally get to see that video!

Hello and baby dust dust.gif to everyone else!

AFM, 7dpo and still no symptoms to report. I POAS yesterday to check if the HCG was out of my system yet, and it is. Any BFP's from here on out are the real deal! Though I'm not sure when I will test. I may try to hold out until 12dpo. Things with Sue are a little better, but we really need a BFP this cycle. Keep those fingers crossed and good vibes coming my way!

Library: What a great photo! It's fun to see how much your baby has grown since your last belly shot. It's amazing she still has more growing to do before she is born!

Isa: What a bloody mess! hug.gif I hope the rest of your vacation is smooth and fun!

Carmen: It's neat that you're going to get some video of your DD's birth. What fun!

Seraf: I have my fingers firmly crossed that you'll get good news when Sara gets her period. I agree that I don't understand the myth that women sync up in their cycles. My wife and I are not at all on the same cycle, and I don't think I've ever synced up with roommates in the past. I guess it must work for some women, but not for me!

AmandaMom: I have all my fingers and toes crossed for you. I'm glad that things are a bit better with Sue, but I definitely understand needing some good news in this process. I hope you get it in just a few days! fingersx.gif

AFM: We have lovely spring weather here, but I want another snow day this winter! Does anyone have some extra snow they would like to send my way?

Good Afternoon Ladies,

I am stopping by quickly because I have a question. DP and I have decided that we no longer want our KD to travel to donate (I will go into details later) which puts us at a crossroads A) Wait until after the wedding in Feb 2012 and find a new KD/Unknown Donor from Bank B) Try to find a way to have his sperm come to us without him actually coming to us. This is where my question comes in... I saw some information on the Rainbow Flag Health Services website about Donor Home Delivery- Essentially it is chilling the sperm and it is overnighted to us so that we can insem or have it prepared for IUI I have also saw something similar called BioTranz. Does anyone know anything about either of these or can point me in the right direction?

Rainbow: I used Donor Home Delivery and also the nearly identical product sold by Northwest Andrology.  They all use the same test yolk buffer as Biotranz, though those two are cheaper than Biotranz.  I do know of others who conceived this way; sadly, we didn't, but that was probably because as it turns out, our intended KD's swimmers just didn't hold up well under storage.  We never had anyone look at the swimmers under the microscope after they'd been shipped; if I had it to do over again, that's what I'd do right away.  It isn't a cheap option (by the time you factor in shipping to your donor and overnight shipping to you), but it is probably cheaper than a plane ticket, if your donor was traveling that way.  It is probably worth a try, though like I said, I'd try to find a clinic or doctor's office that will test it for you first.

AmandaHome - What trigger do you use? I've been on Ovidrel for 3 cycles, and I swear that it only stays in my system for 1 day. Frustrating. I've tried POAS the next few days after to "track" it, but have gotten such weird timeframes. Sending baby vibes your way. GO baby go!

Library - Eeeeeeek! I love your baby belly. Adorable! Can you believe it's almost time? And so sad about 5Grand. Thanks for updating us. greensad.gif

Thanks to Seraf for giving me the rundown on being the March threadkeeper. I promise to only screw up 5 times! nut.gif I make a new thread tomorrow, and let everyone know when it's ready.

AFM - Day1 of injectibles went well last night. DS and DW all watched and participated, so it was somewhat of a family affair...as weird as that sounds. DS helped get me alcohol swabs while DP opened all the necessary packages. We explained to DS what the shot was for, and he said "I hope that's a baby brother you just put into your belly mommy." I giggled, and wished it was only that easy.

Library-Love the belly shot! Babylicious, bumpalicious--thanks for the pic!

Isa-I'm sorry to hear about the bfn.  I know how terribly disappointing it is.  I hope the sunshine and tropical beverages can give you a little peace.  I hope you both can take some time to heal and recalibrate yourselves after this cycle's disappointment.

As for me, I tried sooo hard to wait until tomorrow.  But I couldn't, so I didn't.  I cheated a little and used my expired in Jan-09 digital test (this was the 'sister' test that I never used from '07 when I got pregnant with my dd).  Big ole 'Not Pregnant'.  I'm still holding out hope. After all, I was using an expired digital test at 10dpo.So now the plan is:  I'll see if AF shows up tomorrow.  I'll test with FRER tomorrow evening if things are still in the clear. Otherwise, it's another call to the RE to get a clomid refill.  Why does this have to be so hard?

2ez-Yay!  I love that family affair thing!  Hope the injectibles treat you well. You're on your way!

2ez - I also used Ovidrel for my trigger shot. It was pre-mixed and already in the syringe. I had positive HPT's for about six days after the injection. It's possible the HPT's I use are more sensitive than the ones you use, or maybe your body just processes the hcg differently. shrug.gif

Totally off subject and unrelated to any current topic, but has anyone seen "The Kids Are Alright?" I have a film degree, so I have a hard time watching any film for pure enjoyment, but this one really hit home. The first time I watched it, I was bummed and looked at it from a film degree perspective - lacked storyline development, too much foreshadowing, blah, blah, blah, etc. Then the next 3 times I watched, I was simply mad and struggled to finish it. I am watching clips on the Oscars tonight and am just curious what everyone else thinks of it, especially those of you who have WTBK donors.

Graceie, I think that's supposed to be a good thing.

Qmama, I think the digitals are supposed to be less sensitive, too?

2ez, I saw the movie once.  I really don't think there's any way I could have sat through it 4 times.  I like movies that you probably hate from a film perspective, but I really really don't worry about the WTBK donor thing going like that.  Osha's donor, what kind of guy will he be?  He was older than me at the time, he was a "body performer" whatever that means.  We live very far apart, so I don't worry Osh will want to hang with him every week.  He is going to have had about 20 kids contact him before Osha even gets a chance.  This current wtbk donor is also older than me, also on the other side of the country.  Has kids of his own.  I think we're among the first people to use him, since he's a brand new donor.

Library, adorable bump.  There are 4 girls I work with who are due within a week of you.  You've got them beat on cuteness, tho.

Thank goodness 5grand is ok.  What a sad sad situation.

Off to the new job.

Qmama~ I like your theory.  I was always a 'don't test for as long as possible' person, so I like the logic of using a test that you know won't work so that you can say "Well, this negative means nothing!!!"  I still have everything crossed for you.

Seraf~ Thanks for the compliment!  Aspidistra feels like she's trying to bust out of there this morning.  We have another ultrasound tomorrow, I wonder if she'll all fit on one screen?

Graceie~ Hate to rain on your parade, but I'd occasionally pee on opks and got many positives on ultimately negative cycles. But it won't be long until you know.

2ez~ I haven't watched the movie. I wanted to see it when I first heard about it but then I heard more about it and just didn't want to watch that kind of a story. I don't demand all roses and sunshine, but it just seemed kinda miserable. I think we're putting it on our Netflix, though, and I'll give you an update when I do watch it. I'm glad that lesbian stories can be told in this 'ordinary' way now, not all about coming out, etc, but then it frees me up to ignore them as I ignore other depressing movies (127 Hours, I'm looking at you...).  I had fun watching the Oscars, though. No matter how cheezy and dull, I love them.  Hello Mila Kunis' boobies!!!

AFM~ Sleepy from staying up too late watching the Oscars. Baby seems to be rearranging furniture. Good times.
