lol at y'all with the popcorn!  still here, still at home.  baby is moving enough for the on-call doc not to be worried so we did not go to l&d for an nst.  it would just piss dp off royally to get there and be told to come home again anyways.

dp's sister is irritating both of us - even though she's coming to help tomorrow - by spouting bullshit about baby waiting until she's taught her sunday school class tomorrow afternoon.  i told dp if she gets in my face about that tomorrow she'd better watch out for some cursing while the boys are out of earshot.  lol!

Yay indigo!!!  Way to go into labor!  Good luck and ELV!

Mami, I don't work whn the kids are home. It's hard to get anything done with all 3. Sara isn't going to be left with all 3 for a long time if I can help it. We are talking about setting up more of a morning routine because of how much harder things are. 4 will be a trip, but Sara isn't planning to go back to work for several months after she gives birth, so we won't have a 4:1 ratio for age.

Whoa, I’m behind again.

Congrats, Indigo! How wonderful! I can’t wait to hear all about her!

Thanks everyone for the name suggestions! Astrid, Evangeline, and Ellery were definitely on my main list at one point, but have been removed for various reasons. Josephine is very, very high up as a middle name contender, as it was my grandmother’s name. Which she hated. Too bad I like it, eh?
I put all of your suggestions in a list for DP, and then got pouty and sad that she didn’t just like the one we’ve been talking about. She said that since nothing else (except for Harriet, which I like, but don’t love, and she totally shot down Verity, so I feel like we’re one for one on name rejections) really seemed right she’ll just stick with our frontrunner unless it really doesn’t seem to fit. It’s enough to make me hope for a boy so we can not have to worry about this again until #2 comes along…

Desert—don’t worry, you’ll get into it! It’s a different kind of chat, for sure.

Library—I love the idea of your little baby dance party! Sounds like heaven!

Gumshoe—what a strange thing to be allergic to! But since eggplant is about the worst vegetable (in my humble opinion) maybe it’s better that she not be able to eat that so she’ll have more room for delicious broccoli and peas! Hopefully it doesn’t extend to being allergic to tomatoes or peppers—have you tried giving her those to see if she has any reaction?

AFM—we spent all weekend doing nursery/baby things. Mostly getting a dresser and a bunch of relatively plain onesies to decorate at a baby shower my friend is hosting. I thought it’d be more fun to have colored (and striped!) ones than just plain white. And my aunt has apparently been keeping her childrens’ baby clothes in case there were ever grandchildren. My cousins are now 28 and 26. She offered us anything we want, so I’m getting kind of stoked to see what was hip in 1983 that we could re-use on our little.

My midwife also said I need to get out of holiday mode and start eating better. So more veggies and less sugar for me! Anyone else on a (modified, non-weight-loss, better health) diet for new year’s?

She's here!
And so are the boys!

Isa, I have to clean up my diet but I also have weight to lose. The hard thing is getting everyone else in the house to eat it if I make dinner. The kids were really healthy eaters back in the day, but now they're both getting pickier and I'm afraid to offer foods to Sara that I know she's unlikely to like. I'm thinking about just offering what I want/make/something healthy and let the chips fall where they may. I'm so freaking sick of cheese, which is the only food everyone in the house will eat.

I just got a series of messages from Sara. She has been bleeding on and off since the first time. She went to the doctor again and they found a lake?  I'm off to research.

congrats to indigo and your dp!! Welcome little A!!

Home alone with mr. shay today. We are having a bit of a rough morning but hopefully the afternoon goes better. Right now he is sleeping on me while I type.

We all drove up to Cleveland to see my parents this weekend and I've never seen the kids enjoy themselves so much up there! Ari said her favorite thing of the weekend was "your parents". That was so cute. Osha and my dad bonded many times, over frizbee, the zoo, and just making jokes. Shay loves my mom and kept talking to her and smiling at her too!

I'm really starting to show now and most of my regular clothes barely fit me. My work wont let me lift anything for myself now. I hate always having to ask someone to get the cheese out of the walk in for me, or put away a box of tortillas. I find it really silly! I also am feeling like I'm not looking so great anymore. More hair is growing and the hair on my head seems constantly dirty. Also I'm having more weird dry skin break outs on  my face lately. My morning sickness seems to be a bit more under controll but certain things are still making me sick and if i forget my meds at all, I still get sick. Oh, and heartburn.  But thats enough complaing.

Afternoon:

Okay, so we went to get the oil chamged cuz he was ready to sleep in the car and as we were leaving, i went to the bathroom. Well low and behold, theres more blood. GREAT! Well I called the doc and they said to come in. They are testing me to see if I have any infections and checked the ultrasound too.

Baby boy is doing fine. 144 heartbeat, fluids have gone up to 14.85 which she is thrilled about and he is still breech. The ultrasound tech saw what looked like the placenta was seperating from the uterus but it isn't says the doc and I'm fine there. I do however have a 'placental lake' which is a tiny pocket of blood on the very edge of my placenta. They said as long as I only have one and it doesn't get better, its fine. We have to come back in 2 weeks for monitoring and to check to make sure its either gone or not bigger. Only restrictions are the fun things, no sex till its checked out again (I'm bummed!).

What a day. Will post ultrasound pictures later, but ill leave you with a 21w4d picture (from Cleveland)!

Well, I had another Dr. appointment today and everything is looking good. He got her heartbeat immediately on the doppler and her heart rate is 147. Baby is still moving frequently, so we think everything is great. My next appointment is in a month and baby's parents are coming to that one. We'll have the growth ultrasound and I'll be 20 weeks so it should be fun! On my Dr. appointment days I drop DD off at daycare and have the rest of the day to myself- a one-per-month treat... She absolutely loves daycare, so I don't feel guilty leaving her once in a while! I am going to go enjoy my day off now. :)

Smilingsara- I totally had a dream last night that you and I were sitting on my couch and commiserating about morning sickness together. So funny since we've never met in person!
