WellMama - an organization dedicated to raising awareness and offering social support to parents dealing with anxiety and/or depression both postpartum and during pregnancy.
And yes, I saw the request that posts to this forum be from actual queer parents. I do identify as a queer woman and am mother to two boys. I also have personal experience with these very issues, so I understand that we're asking for something very personal and often difficult to tell.
They're stories that need to be told for the next flush of families, and the next, and the next - because in each new generation of parents there are those mothers (and often partners) who will be struggling, suffering and feeling utterly alone.
We have a volunteer working on this Community Voices project who can make the process easier by interviewing, editing, or simply encouraging you in telling your tale.
If you think you’d be interested in participating in this project, please contact Elizabeth Schulte at email@example.com.
We'd appreciate it if you were willing to pass this request along to anyone you know who has this lived experience. And if you have any great ideas about where to go to pass the word along, please comment here and let us know.
Thank you for your care and attention!

Thanks for sharing MzT. It's totally ok to post with resources or research opportunities that benefit queer parents as well as all other parents. Postpartum depression is a serious issue that can affect anyone.
Married to a wonderful woman since 2010. Baby boy C arrived in June 2013!
