Oh Frog, I am so, so sorry. Please know that if it were at all possible to transcend cyberspace in order to give hugs, I'd be giving you a huge one right now.

Starling and Diesel, congrats! I've been following your tale, and am so very happy for you.

Though these are two odd personal messages to juxtapose, I have to say that both of you brought tears to my eyes this morning.

A, partner to J, mama to O, now with a new username!

Building queer family since 2008!

(and oh, did i mention we're having twins?!?)

Come on, bijoux! Stick! Stick!

Thanks for the sticky vibes and crossed-fingers and well-wishes, everyone!
We're over the moon, of course, but we're also feeling cautious [1], being how early in the process it is.
When we saw the double line this morning [2] we both took a deep breath ... and held it. I think we'll be holding that same breath until we strap that wee'un (or two wee'uns?) into the carseat [3] for the first time.
And now, back to the symptoms [4].

footnotes:
[1] Years of infertility will do that to you ... along with a paramedic career where I see nothing but the complications.

[2] I brought DP the pee stick while she was still in bed ... sure beats eggs and toast and coffee on a platter!

[3] Why the carseat? Because even if we have a 'home' birth it will have to be at my sister's place in the city because we're too far away from a hospital for midwives to legally practice here.

[4] Areolas the size of saucers, oogy feeling in my gut, constipation, fatigue and weird blue veins under my sore boobies. I have been colonized.

Our ET (frozen, day 3, 12 & 14 cells respectively) was Tuesday May 27th and we tested this morning. I would've held out longer, but since buying the HPT it was like that Edgar Allan Poe story "Telltale heart" ... the damn thing was calling me. Our beta is June 10th.

Our donors peed on a stick three days after their FET and got a BFP. So, who knows?

Either way, sticky vibes to you!

Wow-
I check in here every once in awhile and just caught up a bit. I am feeling so heartbroken for what some of you are going through, and really, really happy for others. What a board...
My dw and I had hoped to have a fet next month but it is not going to happen. We have an amazing little boy but also so wanted this. We are needing to come to terms with the fact that that dream is over and its really hard.
Anyway, to Frog and others who are going through so much- I'm truly hoping you get to an okay place soon. And to those of you who have had some good news- YEAH! It's great to hear good news!

Pran, your chart is looking goooood!!* :

Frog, I am still heartbroken for you.

AAU: What a crazy few days... My car died on the way home from work last night.* Some car wiped out and almost slammed into me on the side of the road.* That was a little nerve wracking.** Then we had to come home and clear out half our house as we are replacing our carpeting.* But then the flooring place couldn't come today because their van wouldn't start.* Then Quasar's sister's car died on the freeway today too.* At least we got the AC fixed before the heat wave tomorrow.* Just wondering what Quasar's little cells are up to.

Sorry to spoil the cheering and anticipation - Temp drop today : My chart is always such a tease. I am depressed. I've never worked so hard and diligently at something and seen absolutely no progress. I'm going to make a doctors appointment today just to make sure all my parts are in proper working order. I'm also going to order an at home sperm count kit to make sure known donor has some swimmers. It's been a crappy week

Pran, your chart was my first hit this morning. I'm so sorry about the temp drop but I'm still holding on to some hope. This process is so hard and so emotionally draining. I would say to take care of yourself but I'm at the point now where I'm totally over myself and working on myself. I'm ready to take care of my kid. It's certainly a frustrating ride and I totally feel your pain. I had a mini melt down yesterday and I was only 3 days into our first cycle after a break. I'm not sure how to get through this or how to control my emotions or make it easier, even now on our 12th cycle and 11 months of trying. The only thing that gives me comfort sometimes is knowing that if I really want a child, I'll get one, although it might not be the way I had planned. Hang tight, sister. Our numbers will be picked soon!

-Rachel

Pranava I hope your sperm count kit and doctor's visit give you some good answers.

I am doing a pretty good job staying distracted this month and not worrying too much about whether KD will be in town or not. We've decided to put our loft on the market so that we can buy a new, bigger place. So every night this week we've been getting home from work quickly to pack up some boxes to take to staorage so we can make our place presentable for showing. If any one is moving to Atlanta and wants to buy a cool loft - I've got a place for you!
