I know this thread is back from February, but there are a couple of great DIY play kitchens I've come across that I'd thought I'd share. This one is made from a nightstand and this one is made from an old entertainment center. So easy you don't really need formal directions or plans.

Or could you look at thrift shops and find one to give a new coat of paint and new knobs, etc?

This one has the instructions and DH says its fairly easy to make. We were going to make it for DD for christmas, but decided to just buy this one instead
