My darling sister gave DD 100% cotton (white) tee shirts for Christmas, saying that she was going to tye dye them and ran out of time and assumed that her granola little sis would know how.

So, what is the best way to do this? What is the best dye? We're pretty broke so I don't want to have to buy a bunch of stuff.

(I just love that smilie!)

Your best bet would be to get a tie dye kit from a craft store. They will either have the Jacquard brand or the Tulip(?) brand. They come with instructions and all you need to do it.

Check out the Itiedye.com for extra ideas and a host of info on dyeing/tie dyeing too.
