I want to get a maya wrap sling. I am unsure which size to get. I am 200 lbs, 5'3 tall. i know the site says medium fits most people, but should i go with the large?

And is there a place to get one cheaper than thr maya wrap site?

thanks!

I made one for less then $10. They have directions on the website and it's not too hard.

I'm 5'5" and weigh 250 and comfortably use a medium maya. I am pear shaped and carry much of my weight in my hips and butt though. If you're apple shaped or want more leftover fabric for draping (I only have about a foot and a half left over) you might want to go with a large.

I don't know anyplace to get them cheaper when they're new, but I did find one in a Baby consignment shop. I know other people who have found Maya's in 2nd hand shops as well. They're usually in like-new conditon too!

I'm 5'1" and around 155lbs (I think). My medium-sized Mayawrap has a a really long tail of leftover fabric, even now that Kate is a pretty big 3 yo.

I got mine from Indigenous Babies and was happy with the transaction.

now that I have two hands I can give a little more detail.

When I made mine, I used 2.5 yards, but kinda wish I had a little more. I'm about medium sized...5'5 and about 130. If you want any more info about making one, feel free to ask.

I'm 5'9" and 178 lbs -- a size 12/14.

The medium has been just fine for me -- I have enough tail left over that I'm sure I could have used a small as well.

I got mine from a LLL leader

HTH!!
