how rude! I've only gotten two stupid comments about the sling. Both while grocery shopping. One woman told me that it wasn't really safe, her sister's baby fell out of a sling, and I should definitely be careful. Nice advice! Then, last week at the store, a Paris Hilton wannabe said to her pretty boyfriend (when they THOUGHT I couldn't hear them!) Oh, that poor baby, he looks so squished! I was MAD. Braden was sound asleep, all snuggled up in the new native, one of his favorite places to nap. Grrr...thankfully, we've gotten a TON of great comments on the sling. But rude people make me mad sometimes.

I was wearing my youngest DD (6 months) in my Kangaroo Korner solarveil sling (she was so cute and happy) at a department store the other day - a sales person at a makeup counter actually yelled over at me, "I'm just really worried about your back with that thing!" Then, another old biddy (no disrespect intended for the general elderly population) said, "That must be really hard on you!" Unreal. But those negative comments were countered by at least 10 positive comments, by men, women, young, old. A manager at the Gap stopped me to ask about slings, he has a newborn apparently and is afraid of his Bjorn. We could hardly walk through a store without someone stopping us.

BTW - I'm chomping the bit waiting for my EBMT!
