My EBMT could use a good washing as DD drools on it all the time.

I've had the carrier close to two months and have never washed it.

How often do you wash yours?

RAAAAARELY! :LOL In fact, I remember walking around with snot all over the black tail of my Maya Wrap forever! Pretty gross. it's clean now because I never use it. And come to think of it, I think my main pouch has only been washed once in a year. I guess it just doesn't need it that often.

With dd#1, the sling was never washed. She didn't spit on it or anything, she just loved chewing on the fabric! I did wash that sling before dd#2, and I washed the new wrap carrier before using it.

Oh good. I don't feel so bad, now that others have fessed up

Rarely. If it's really goopy or has massive stains, it gets washed. But it's such a PITA to get the sling rethreaded just the right way, kwim?

I have so many I rotate enough that I dont have to wash...lol. I'm on of thos people who if they run out of clean clothes tend to go buy more... lol. Ok seriously. I try really hard not to wash tem because I hate ironing them back out and I always have this fear somethign is gonna happen to them in the wash! They are like my security blankets! My favorite ones have been washed a few times. I say every 4-6 months? But DD doesnt spit up, shes way past that stage. When she was a baby I was washing them alot more and I think all those have since been retired! She teeths on her slings still but a little baby drool never hurt right? When I can smell the previous days juice or am picking crusties off from yucky nose I know its time to part with it so it can meet mr washing machine. Really it like a coat, just wash as needed but dont worry abotu people saying "Oh, didnt she just wear that yesterday?" LMAO! But then again you could pretend to worry about that and have an excuse to buy more!!

Hardly ever! I guess I wash them every 6 months or so, unless there is a reason to wash them before then.

I never wash our slings- we haven't had an abundance of puke though, either...
Not washing keeps the mama-smell on them - which is even more comforting when she's hanging out in one of them.

Once a week or more (except the solarveil I wear in the shower....less often), buuuutttttt

DD is a puker. Not spit up....puke. Disgusting smelling, rotten milk, curds and all.

:Puke

And I cannot stand the smell. I have a happy puker :

At least the unpadded one dries quickly.

Gosh, never?

I washed my Nojo because I was selling it, does that count?

I do NOT have a spitty kid though.... I'm sure if she was a puker I'd need to clean a lot more often.... I think she puked maybe a dozen times TOTAL???

I wash when they get dirty. That probably works out to about 3 or 4 times a year.

I wash my Kozy when the straps look so bad from dragging on the ground when I put DD on/off that I feel bad letting her chew on them.

The Maya gets washed when I feel it needs it, maybe once a month. I tend to use the tail for a burp cloth/blanket/etc., so it gets grubby after a while.
