i bought one of these wraps http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=221254725576 to use with my 11 week old son. he seemed to be pretty happy on my back for the past month or so but suddenly he seems to be uncomfortable in the wrap and especially on my back. he weighs about 14 pounds and I'm suspicious of the wrap itself. when i received it i was surprised that it was so stiff. it doesn't give in any direction. is this typical of woven wraps? it seems to make adjustments and forming rails more difficult. i can't identify the type of fabric for sure but it could be called broadcloth. does that even count as "woven?"

Not the best cloth, for more carries check out babywearer.com but if he's uncomfortable try a different carry.... and can you post a couple of pictures of close up's of the weave and what it looks like held up to a light would make giving advice easier.

here it is. I've tried several several different types of carries but he's always uncomfortable.

To me it looks thin and kind of stiff. Some breaking in is usually necessary with a woven wrap but they shouldn't feel "rough"...most woven wraps cost at least $100 so I might be suspicious of the weaving with one that inexpensive. Can you search facebook for a babywearing group in your area? They are usually very helpful and can tell you if it is an issue with the carry you are doing, or the wrap itself, or something else.
