Hi,

my ERGO Babycarrier has some hems that are open, they are right above the hip part, on the actual panel, on the very sides (both sides).

So, I THINK they don't really matter stabilitywise, but obviously I am no expert. I called the company, but they say any holes and it's not safe to use anymore. (but I guess that's more for insurancy reasons)

Would you just sew them up, or do you think there is a safety issue here?

Trin with DH , DD(7)  and DS(5) ,  DD(2) ,
I am not regularly online at the moment due to the above ...

Nah, I think you are fine to just sew it yourself.

Use some good quality polyester thread or something that will last. I'd stitch it up.

How old is the Ergo? I would not repair a carrier, if it is showing signs of wear.  I would replace it with a new one that comes with manufacturer warranty.

Call them! Excellent customer service. They replaced mine, totally free, for a broken zipper. Watch out for imposter ergos though...
