Hi everyone- I'm trying to find a wrap for our baby thats coming in July and need some help/opinions as I'm very very new to all of this. I found two that I like for sale- a vatanai size 6, that I assume is cotton/linen as the seller says its really nice for hot weather. And then a Didymos Marigold, cotton/linen, size 4. The Vatanai is priced about 30 dollars higher than the Didymos. What we are looking for is something that will be nice for hot weather as we will be moving from France to Alabama shortly after the baby is born, in the thick of summer. We would also like something that both I (5'4, medium size) and my husband (6'2, broad shouldered but thin) could use pretty easily. Is it better, being a beginner, to get a shorter wrap, easier to learn with maybe, or better to go ahead and get a longer one so that we can eventually do more carries? Is one of these wraps head and shoulders above the rest? I also saw a Kokadi size 6 that is lovely but I hadn't heard of that brand before and can't find as much on them. Thanks so much for any advice :)
It's Alabama Depending on exactly where you live you are most likely going to be sweltering hot a good portion of the time there I'd suggest the shorter one and i'd suggest looking up more carries that can be done with a shorter wrap. Kokadi's are slightly more expensive GSW but the humidity will mean you'll need a shorter wrap if you don't want to roast.
