Its starting to get hot out and my beco carrier, which I do love, is getting really hot.

Any advice for a summer baby carrier? I'm not so into ring slings although many say they are great for the summer, but I need something with more support for long days out and errand running.

TIA :)

Boba makes an Air version that is supposed to be lighter.

Married to a wonderful woman since 2010. Baby boy C arrived in June 2013!

I have this version of boba, I really love it, it is always in my purse, it folds down to a size of a cloth diaper, so really not that much volume or weight to carry, and always handy. Not super comfy for very long periods with my 35 pounds 2 y.o.

But is is not cool. It is hot. It is made of a material similar to raincoat nylon of some sort. So not breathable at all.

The best wears for babies during summer. My favorite carrier for summer is a thin linen ring sling....

1) Ring sling tails can provide additional coverage and sun protection for your baby
2) Fabrics made specifically for warm weather, like linen and mesh, are breathable
3) Wraps can be a great option for summer since there are so many different ways to use them.
