This Sling is from Red Envelope. It is an upscale catalog. It makes me pleased as punch to see babywearing becoming mainstream.

It's always so nice to see slings becoming more available. Does it look to you like the model is wearing her baby too low, though?

I saw that in the catalogue! I thought about emailing them to say "it's great that you have a sling, but the one in the pic is way too big on the mom, and the seam is at the baby's feet instead of acting as the "seat" the way it should." It looks uncomfortable for the baby the way they have it behind his neck. I noticed they were only offering med and large, too. Hopefully they have smalls on-line?

I hate to sound negative, but why is it that everytime someone tries to take slings into the mainstream, they do such a shotty job of it??

I agree about it totally not fitting right. I have to say, EVERY time I see a mainstream add for a sling, the babe is too low. I saw a pic of Brooke Shields wearing her baby in a sling in People magazine and that baby was at her knees. It was ridiculous.
