What kind of a bag do you use for carrying diapers and all the other stuff that babies need? Depending on the sling I'm using, it can be really difficult to get a bag on my shoulder in a way that's comfy and doesn't smack ds in the head.
With the Ergo, both shoulders are occupied; with ds in the Walking Rock Farm Hip Baby, one shoulder's got the pad of the carrier and ds is on the other side. Those are the two carriers I use most right now.
I tell you, someone could make a LOT of money if they could come up with a cool, ergonomically correct way to carry stuff and baby at the same time (and have stuff accessible without undoing the whole contraption and putting baby down).

I like messenger style bags, because I can have it slung around on my back while helping ds up the slide at the playground, slide it around to the front to access it while holding him on my hip, etc. I don't have to put it or ds down to access anything like I do a backpack. Backpacks drive me nuts having to take them on and off all the time. Regular totes hurt my shoulder, and slide off when I am running after my little sprinter.
But I can't wear a messenger bag if I'm wearing a sling. 2 week old babe in the sling. 3yo ds on foot as we head to the playground. What do I do with the diaper bag?
