I am getting ready to order, I just have a few issues I need to resolve.

1) dd is 3 1/2 mos, she can hold her head up pretty well, very well actually. Does she need the infant insert?

2) I know ego is good for doing housework and chores, but can you sit in it? DD gets so fussy when I sit for even a moment in the snuggli. Part of my chores include doing stuff sitting down, like paying bills. Is the ergo comfy when mama is sitting.

Thank you so much knowledgable Mamas! TIA

They didn't have the insert when I got my Ergo but my baby was 4 months and did fine in it.

I can sit but it really depends on how tall you are and where the Ergo sits on you. It's better to sit on a stool than a regular chair.

I've had many, many baby carriers and this is by far my favorite. FWIW.

Im looking into one too, id love to find a used one but it seems like nobody parts with theirs, tells me this is a great carrier My question about it is it hard to get baby into the back position by yourself? My dd is 1 so not really a baby but too heavy for a front carry (im assuming?) Im almost always by myself though....

Not sure what colour I like either

I have an Ergo and I have used it as a back carrier a few times. In the beginning, I found it difficult. I think viewing the instructions helped me somewhat. After I got a hang of it, I didn't find it that hard. I still use a mirror since I haven't mastered getting her on my back yet but I am sure it will get easier with time. As for the color, I choose black.
