my freehand mei tai will hurt my shoulders if i use it in a rucksack position--which was the position i was really hoping to use b/c once straps start crossing over my chest...well...things begin to look all pointy and scary!
happily, i can cross this carrier over my chest. the straps are actually wide enough that they kind of cover/smoosh my "girls" rather than "lifting and separating" them. but it is a good smoosh--not painful. just nice and secure.
my shoulders were still a teensy bit strained the first few times, but one's body seems to get used to it.
the MOST comfortable carrier, IMO, is a podegi, since there needn't be any shoulder involvement. now, if only i could get one of my own!
