I have read that many newborn babies don't care for reclining position and prefer the T2T position instead. I am completely sold on the Hotsling, but would like to know if there is just the one position for the baby? Thanks!!

Most pouches are too loose to do a T2T position with a newborn. The only way I think it could work is if you do the 2-shouldered carry shown on the Maya Wrap site with one of their pouches, but they have the baby facing out in the kangaroo carry. Basically you just put the pouch around your back and both shoulders, almost like a shawl, with the seam in the front of your chest/abdomen.

When Ds was a newborn, I used the KKAFP in the T2T position and he loved it. It was really comfy. I haven't been able to do the T2T in the hotslings that I have, but DS is a little porker now :LOL

I think you need an adjustable pouch for this.

Thanks for your replies. I thought the hotsling looked too loose for the T2T hold.

I did just purchase a PIP, and think I'll be able to T2T hold with that one just fine.

I might still try a hotsling though...they are so pretty too!
