DD has been amazingly helpful around the house lately. She just takes the initiative and starts cleaning things.

Today, after she got on a cleaning kick again, I turn around and see her leaning over forward with a dolly on her back and my sarong. She was trying to tie the baby on like I do w/ my 16 month old to work around the house.

I asked her if she needed some help and she said yes. She was so serious about it. :LOL So, I tied her baby onto her back and she proceeded to clean the house. It was just the sweetest thing ever.

I realized I wanted to take a picture because it was so cute. So, here are a few pictures of dd doing the african back carry with a dolly.

Awww, thanks you guys!

Becky, that is so cute! So, he tied that on himself? Too sweet. We have a real life kid sling that the kids use for their dolls but one day we let my 6 yo carry the baby around in it. It really worked too. Just after a bit he started complaining that his shoulder hurt. :LOL It is so sweet to see them imitate us, isn't it?

So cute!! I wish James would try to imitate me like that more! Although he does try to "nurse" things or offer his sister his boobies!! That's what I need a picture of, like that's ever going to happen at the right time!! Anyway, here are the only two pics of James trying to "carry" anything. I had my frontpack out all ready to take pics of for ebay, and he wants to put both of his babies in it. It only lasted long enough to take the pics though--haha!!

OMG Emmajean, that is so cute! I can't believe he has twins in there. I have pictures of dd with twins in a sling too! It's from a year ago. If I can dig them up, I'll post them.

Here are two pictures (well, four really). The first one is dd when she was 2.5 slinging twins. The second one is my oldest (when he was 5 1/2) slinging my youngest (when he was about 8 months) with a real live kid sling.

*pics removed

I just wanted to add, sorry they didn't turn out so great. They're real pictures that I scanned in so they're pretty dark and blurry.

All the pics are adorable! Thanks for sharing (and thanks for reposting MamaAllNatural )!

If I can find it I'll share too. I have a cute one of dd nursing her doll when she was 4.

I love all the pics. Thanks for sharing. I use my sling a few times with dd1 and dd2. Maybe I should make one for her, dd1. She may use it. Just as she does nurse her dolls and her favorite bunny.
