Ok ladies I am new to this forum but some of you may know me from diapering.... I have a DS who will be 3 in march and is a little on the small side for his age.... he weighs about 26lbs. Well we are going on a plane trip to see my family in may and I really dont want to bring his stroller. Now I do have several strollers that would be easy to take. I have a combi that is a full seat that lays back but folds like an umbrella stoller and i also have an inglsina swift. But he would rather be carried and i am also going to have a britax carseat to lug around. so what kind of back carrier would you reccomend for a 3 yr old that will be easy to get on quicky while getting off the plane?

Thanks

I would get either some sort of Mei Tai or a Patapum (like an Ergo but cheaper). I use both with my 2 and 3 yo children very comfortably.

My DD is almost 3 (in Feb.) and your son's age. She rarely lets me sling her anymore, but I did get to use my new ABC/padded mei tai with her when she was sick recently. I did a back carry with her and it was fast and comfy. I have a pack-pack .

In the past, I used to use only a wrap with her for the back carry, as my homemade ABC wasn't as comfortable, so I was surprised this worked so well. I wonder if it's because this ABC has the wider straps?

i have a home made abc but i think the straps are to narrow. off tolook at the pack pack. i just never use the stroller so i want an easier carrier then the sling if i have to lug the britax around..........

i agree with the others - either an Ergo or a padded ABC like a Kozy. Another great option is a Mei Hip carrier - if you don't mind him being on your hip.
